Thank you Lucy for your comment. I believe that churches do tend to ignore this but we are not ignorant of it. We can not make the church more user-friendly to men by compromising the gospel and it is God alone who calls people to Jesus Christ John 6: As we read in Acts 5: As to why women are not seemingly answered in prayer by God to have Christian husbands, again where the Bible is silent, I must also be.
Do you attend a church? We have had God answer mightily in our church. Jesus said we must seek first the Kingdom of God Matt 6: The Bible never guarantees a believer happiness. Our rewards are to be revealed in heaven…and not in this earth. There are also many faithful, godly men. We have more men in our church who are single than there are single women. I have a couple of questions. Do you think it is ok to patiently wait for a girlfriend? I also work in a place where it is really just taking a toll on me. I could really use a different job but I want it to be the right one.
I guess you can say I am all about what God wants. I have been very blessed throughout my life but as I get older I just want what he wants from me and if I just knew what he wanted from me it would be a lot easier. I guess what I am asking is is there a way to hear him speaking to me? Any kind of clues I should be looking for? I have come to that point many times but my soul wont allow me to.

I have been where you are now. I felt like Joseph. However, if Joseph had not been in prison, he would not have interpreted dreams and the Pharoah would not have used him to interpret Pharohs dream and all of Israel and many nations would have perished. I remember a family long ago that wanted to go to America and they were bumped at the last minute on a boat to the U.
Read Psalm 37 brother. I will pray for you. Is it wrong of me to pray to god that I want her to see how much I care and love her and that it will work out and wait for her. No, I think it is fine to pray for this woman to see how much you care for her but you must show her this too in letters, cards, and flowers.
Remember we have a starting and ending piont in our life do our problems last a life time I have been waiting 7 years for a prayer to be answer. God gave me a family now I cant not secure a. How can God bless me with a family and not have a means to house them. Stop is time and time waits for no man!
Have you spoken with your pastor?
What has he said? I have been alone the majority of my life. I know the world sees only the outside. I believe I am truly unqualified for happiness. I know the characteristics of the person I have been praying for. However, I am so far outside his world, there are days I think, why bother praying to god go put this man in my life.
He is waiting for the right one to come into his life as I have been waiting for that also. I once said I would never marry, ever, not qualified, too ugly, too poor, not highly educated at the right school and just too messed up. I want those feelings to change because I want to love this man and be happy, really happy for the first real time in my life. What more can I do?
Hello Samantha…I am so very sorry my friend. All you can do is what you have already been doing…keep on praying, perhaps even fast, and I will join you. Just love him and pray to God and leave the rest up to Him…and I will promise to join you in the throne room of heaven. Psalm 37 says that God will give us the desires of our heart but only if we delight in Him. Let me direct you to a Bible Study about this Psalm and I pray it gives you direction and hope and a focus on how to delight in God. Please read this at: This is not helping children of god to want to pray and get answers.
Telling us to constantly check our hearts and minds and sin.
Then we will all not get our prayers answered. I dun even think any human on earth will get their prayers answered. Coz theres no such perfect person. Btw, we will never know the will of god for lives , so that means prayers will never be answered. The truth is we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus our advocate He will intercede for us , He will ensure our prayers are perfect every single time, even if we sin.
Even if we are not perfect, even if we make mistakes.. If this puts a relief in yr mind and great assurance. I m not a pastor or preacher or whatever. I m a child of the most high god and i believe He paid for my sins at the cross, washed me clean, redeemed me. So what god has madr clean, no one not even myself can renounce that! Please spend time listening to pastors who preach the Truth! I am 38 years old and I have 3 younger sisters, none of us is yet married. We have been fasting and praying , going through deliverance and special prayer sessions for years now.
Nothing seems to be happening. I believe God answers prayers and I know He has heard our cry.
Why Does God Wait to Answer Prayer?
How can we keep the faith and keep believing when people are laughing at my family and making mockery of us. Is your church a small one? Are there no single men in the church you attend? Talk to your pastor. In the meantime, no marriage is better than being bound till death do you part in a bad one. Put the kingdom and Him first Matt 6: People who laugh…are these people saved? I would be praying for them for without Christ they face sheer terror someday Rev I have to left to my previous job to finish up my studies.
I was jobless for 3 months and I had use all my savings to pay bills and for survival and now all my savings are gone where I immediately need job. I have been trying to find for jobs and attended few interviews but receive no luck until now. Me and mom depending on my salary to survive and it is really tough going through the period without job and salary. I will keep praying and waiting but honestly speaking it really hurts to go through this period.
All that I can do is…. I m actually losing my mind…. I m a Christian and I have been praying to God for a life Patner for more than 4 years but it seems not to be coming through…. I sometimes wonder if God has forgotten me…. I keep wondering if there is something I m getting wrong, am I in my own world or making a mistake about the situation….
Those that I have met looked like nothing that I have prayed for…… Pls explain what else can I do …. Hello Petals and thank you for your comment. I cannot explain the secret counsel of God. Job lost everything…and including his own 10 children, and only his wife remained who told him to curse God and die. Have you a church that has a singles group?
Have you talked with your pastor. Perhaps they can help.
Everybody’s a Somebody in the Body of Christ
Otherwise, Jesus said we must love Him more than mother, brothers, sister, and husband or wife, so perhaps He is seeing how faithful you will be. I wish I could help. I will pray for you Petals. I will pray for you sir. I never said God always waits if its the wrong thing only. Humans cannot always know why God waits. I am sorry sir. I never stated that asking God to heal you is the wrong thing though.
I am sorry if you took it that way sir. I apologize and will pray for you. The theme is the same in these comments, people who desperately want to know when thier prayers will be answered. How long must we cry out, before He hears us? I too am waiting, I am waiting for the healing of my marriage, and for the correct treatment at work. As of now, God has not answered these prayers in the way I want them answered. But that may not meant he has not answers the prayers.
Where we trip up is assuming we know God's will, because a certain thing makes sense to us! We assume that there is only one right "answer" to a specific prayer, assuming certainly THAT would be God's will. And this is where it gets tough. We live within the limits of time and limits of knowledge. We have only limited information about a situation and the implications of future action on that situation.
God's understanding is unlimited. How an event plays out in the course of life or history is only something he knows. And he may have purposes far beyond what we could even imagine. So, God is not going to do something simply because we determine that it must be his will. Pages and pages could be filled about God's intentions toward us. The entire Bible is a description of the kind of relationship God wants us to experience with him and the kind of life he wants to give us.
Here are just a few examples:. He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for [trust] him! Like someone rising out of his chair to come to your help, "He rises to show you compassion. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. However, God's greatest display of his love and commitment to you is this: Jesus said, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends," 10 which is what Jesus did for us.
And so, "If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else? Certainly people get sick, even die; financial problems are real, and all sorts of very difficult situations can come up. God tells us to give our concerns to him. Even as the situation remains dismal, "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. When the whole world seems to be falling apart, God can keep us together.
This is when a person can be very grateful that they know God. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Probably any Christian could list examples like this in their own lives. But if the circumstances do not improve, God can still give us his peace in the midst of it.
Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
So, Why Doesn't God Answer Everyone's Prayers?
Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. It is at this point when circumstances are still tough that God asks us to continue to trust him -- to "walk by faith, not by sight" the Bible says. But it's not blind faith. It is based on the very character of God. A car traveling on the Golden Gate Bridge is fully supported by the integrity of the bridge.
It doesn't matter what the driver may be feeling, or thinking about, or discussing with someone in the passenger seat. What gets the car safely to the other side is the integrity of the bridge, which the driver was willing to trust. In the same way, God asks us to trust his integrity, his character
