It was wonderful, funny, sexy, and I loved it. I giggled, blushed a little, and couldn't put it down. Jun 25, Red Cheeks Reads rated it it was amazing. OK, I want to be completely honest.

I read the synopsis for this book and I was less than thrilled. It just did not sound that great to me. It felt like it had been done before and I am finding myself kind of sick of sexy rich men. But this book, totally smacked me in the face and was all like "You are wrong, Amie.
I am awesome, amazing, sexy, and totally hilarious. I loved this book. I loved Blake and Andrea. I loved their fights, their hysterics, and their attraction. Andrea OK, I want to be completely honest. Andrea has a special talent. She is fabulous at reading people, what their talents are, their weaknesses, what kind of people they are in general. And she is looking for a job and it is imperative that she find one asap. Her sister sets her up for an interview that changes her life forever.
Blake Donovan is looking for a wife. Preferably submissive, bone thin, and a home maker. Andrea has agreed to help him find one. Andrea and Blake were just so ridiculous. They made me laugh non stop. Blake was not your typical rich alpha. He is quirky and different and kind of shy and reserved in the sweetest of ways. Andrea was kind of goofball, outgoing, and curvy. Pretty much everything that Blake does not want in a wife.
Then why does he find himself so incredibly attracted to her? There were a million things that I liked about this book but the sexual tension had to be the very best of all of these. You can just feel it building and you keep waiting and waiting and when they finally take things further it pays off in such a big way. I do love a good romance novel that can give you plenty of sexual tension and this one delivers in a big way. I also thought the writing was especially good. It was witty, sexy, and the story itself was spectacular. I found myself laughing out loud on multiple occasions at these two ridiculous people denying their attraction to one another.
Just a fabulous book! I really cannot wait for more from these two authors! Jul 13, Jessica Alcazar rated it it was amazing Shelves: OK, so I gotta say this LOL So the story goes like this: Blake Donovan needs a wife, but he's a busy man so he needs someone to find that wife for him. Andrea Dawson is currently unemployed OK, so I gotta say this Andrea Dawson is currently unemployed and desperate enough to answer a job ad on Craig's List. A job as a matchmaker! A job posted by our very own Blake. These two were hilarious and fun to read! Obviously I don't need to give you details about the story for you to figure out what it's about, but I will say the story is sexy, romantic, fun and entertaining with awesome lead characters that are perfectly matched lol!
I love their banter and sass and overall interaction. Martin's Press via NetGalley for an honest review May 22, Karen Mc rated it it was amazing. This story is sprinkled with the characters' inner thoughts that provide such insight that you feel the characters are sitting right beside you relaying their story. Miss Match is a story about hope, love, and searching for perfection but realizing that imperfectly perfect is preferred and way more pleasing. The female lead, Andrea, is feisty and the male lead, is controlled--a lethal combination--but perhaps the perfect match.
Miss Match is a book match made in heaven for sure. Beautiful, curvy, blunt, and smart Andrea 'Andy' her nickname or 'Drea' what Blake calls her Dawson is hired to be arrogant, hot, tall, and successful billionaire Blake Donovan's matchmaker. He is ready to settle down and is done with trying to find her perfect match on his owna particular type of woman who is the total opposite of Andrea.
The problem is that there is some combustible chemistry happening with his employee that he can't shake or stop. Something he couldn't quite put his finger on. Her brash approach was usually a turnoff in an employee. Perhaps it was that she'd turned him down--no one said no to Blake Donovan, after all. It couldn't be that, though--he sensed the something before that. It was both terrifying and thrilling. He had to explore it further. Stay focused on the job. Don't lose herself in Mr. Don't get played by the player. Easier said than done.
He encircled her waist with his free arm and pressed his lips to hers His heartbeat sped up and his entire body hummed as she melted into him like ice cream on a hot day. The feeling of her soft lips on his, parting slightly as he nudged his tongue against hers, made everything else in the world go away.
She tasted like the first day of autumn--clean and cool and refreshing. More than either wanted or bargained for when the line is crossed between business and pleasure. Andrea doesn't want to fall for her hot but arrogant boss and heck if she is his match on paper either. Plus she's feisty and won't let him control her or the situation. She's not part of Blake's plan.

Her body simply kept reacting to an unfortunate encounter they'd had nearly thirty-six hours ago. It was physiological, that was all. She was supposed to be finding a match for Blake Donovan, not daydreaming about being his match. Lines are blurred between employee and boss, and matchmaker and match. Self doubts and a misunderstanding loom in a cloud of darkness over Andrea and Blake. Maybe Miss Match is the real match if only Blake ditches his model of perfection for his sassy and sexy siren of an employee--but so much more--who understands him and attracts him like no other.
Five melting, masterful, and matching stars I couldn't wait to start "Miss Match" and just as I thought, I was not disappointed. As soon as I realised what it was all about I became excited about what was to come and I was interested to see how the story would play out. I just knew that this was a book t Review-Jo Facebook: I just knew that this was a book that I would love. It was sweet, funny and extremely sexy and it was well worth the read.
Blake Donovan, on first impression, was a stern, arrogant and pompous man. He didn't believe in love, but he wanted a wife purely to satisfy both his business and sexual needs. Essentially, all he wanted was some eye candy for his arm. Of course, I was a little put off by Blake yet at the same time I had hope that my feelings for him would change with the continuation of the story.
Thankfully, I soon discovered that Blake had some good qualities just waiting to emerge, he just needed a little encouragement to show everyone how lovely he truly was. By the end of the story, I had fallen hard for Blake. It was impossible not to. I am in love with Andrea Dawson. Completely, utterly, undeniably in love. I loved Andrea's character. She was fun, strong and feisty. The complete opposite of Blake. When Andrea first met Blake there was an initial attraction towards him but once she realised what a cold and pretentious man he was, she soon changed her mind.
However the more time Andrea spent with Blake, the more she got to see the real man, and the attraction towards her boss bloomed. Was she Blake Donovan's match? She'd been into him, consumed with him, but she'd never quite believed that they were actually good together. But maybe they were. I adored watching Andrea and Blake's relationship change throughout this story. Andrea had turned Blake's world upside down. He was suddenly re-thinking his idea of the perfect woman and he found that Andrea was increasingly becoming the girl for him with each day they spent together.
Once cupid had struck his bow in this couple's direction there was no escaping the L word. Andrea and Blake turned out to be the perfect match. They made a great couple and the sex between the pair was smokin' hot!!
Who knew that the conceited CEO could turn out to be such a sexy guy! And I already made a reservation in your pussy that I intend to keep. During the last part of the book, I found myself franticly tearing through the pages to find out what would happen between the couple. Something happened that made my tummy do somersaults and my palms to sweat. I was so worried about the outcome of the story.
I really wanted Andrea and Blake to get their fairytale ending and if they didn't get one, I think I would have cried! May 12, Dianne rated it really liked it Shelves: Trust me, Miss Match by the duo who makes up the name Laurelin McGee is anything BUT cold, laugh out loud funny, yes, almost grab the tissues sad or cute, definitely, sassy, quirky and fun, check, check and check! The picture of hotness on the outside, but a damaged and frozen wasteland on the inside, business mogul Blake Donovan wants the perfect partner, a cutout of perfection, sans the attitude and feistiness of the woman he hired to find his perfect mate.
Andrea is desperate for a job and even though Mr. Freeze looks to be hard to please, she never backs down from a challenge. But has she done her job too well? He is everything she rails against; she is the opposite of what he wants in every way. Get ready to rumble as these two square off in the arena of love and winner takes all! Two authors, two styles, all blended into one hot and hysterical read that is the perfect beachside must read! From quirky characters to an impossible not to love plot, once we are all settled in with the basics, we are jettisoned into a romantic tug of war, sizzling attraction that only gets hotter as it is denied and a few twists will have you almost in tears, either from laughing or having your heartstrings yanked on.
I read to be entertained on as many levels as possible and Miss Match took me up the elevator to the penthouse suite with entertainment! I received this ARC edition from St. Martin's Press in exchange for my honest review.
Forgive and Forget
June 30, Publisher: Contemporary Romance Print Length: Just got an ARC: I'm so happy right now: Review to come I'm a huuuuge Laurelin Paige's fan. I couldn't wait to read this book If you want to read a sexy funny book, this one is for you!! Jun 21, Christy P rated it it was amazing. This book was funny, sexy, and so sweet! It kept my attention from the first page and made me feel all fuzzy and swoony! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet and sexy read! Manchmal war sein Verhalten aber auch so naiv, dass ich wirklich in Schmunzeln gekommen bin. So langsam wie sich zu Beginn alles entwicklt, so schnell ging dann am Ende alles.
May 08, Danielle rated it really liked it. Omg I loved this book!! You can tell from the interview they both are attracted to each other and have a chemistry that won't be denied. I liked Andrea a lot for a heroine. She was smart, funny and seriously outspoken. When she was in the interview and he asked her to read him she was right on point. Andrea was sent to mess up his life in a very good way that's for sure.
After she turns down the job she Omg I loved this book!!
Miss Match: Always the matchmaker, never the match
After she turns down the job she works at a bar and Blake seeks her out because he just can't stop thinking about her. They share an explosive kiss and she agrees to let the match making begin. He was smart, successful and cocky but Andrea describes him the best. He is also sexy and in need a wife. God his views kept me laughing none stop. He might be smart but he doesn't know women and he kept sticking his foot in his mouth. For a man that never apologizes he sure does it a lot with Andrea.
What first caught my attention to Blake is when she shows up for work the next day and he starts changing all the rules to keep her closer to him. This book is full of laughs! Andrea throws shoes and he breaks her heel. The love scenes are pretty sexy. I am looking forward to reading Unlikely Match. This time involving minor characters in this book, Shelly and Claire. May 01, Agirlcandream rated it really liked it. Miss Match is a sweet romance starring two beautiful women who meet and fall in love.
The author strikes a nice balance between their work lives and the more intimate moments between Lucinda and Samantha. The conversations shared feel natural and unforced, their histories point to the strong and confident women they are in the present. These two women deserve to find their HEA. And yes, there are lots of sex scenes to keep the hungriest romantics happy. I was concerned tha Impressive debut novel. I was concerned that that this couple peaked too early and that little would follow the rounds after rounds of lovemaking. Happily there were conflicts to resolve, minor ones but enough to get the women out of bed and talking again.
A sweet and simple love story that was a pleasure to read. Looking forward to whatever Ms. Apr 26, Netty rated it really liked it. This was just what i needed, very simple girl meets girl with lots of mind blowing sex scenes, the characters were very likable, nothing complicated about this book at all, i will admit some of the sex scenes did become a little repetitive for me but that didn't taint my experience nor my rating.
I understand this is her first published book but to be honest i didn't notice this through her writing at all, i thought it was written very well with no editing issues So if your looking for a quick This was just what i needed, very simple girl meets girl with lots of mind blowing sex scenes, the characters were very likable, nothing complicated about this book at all, i will admit some of the sex scenes did become a little repetitive for me but that didn't taint my experience nor my rating.

Jul 30, Tara rated it it was amazing Shelves: This is a sweet, sexy romance with quality banter, which I always love. It's so damn cute, I just loved it. Read my full review here: After reading all the great reviews, I was expecting a wonderful novel.
It is certainly a very sweet story. There are no ups and downs, and very little happens until the very last chapter of the book. In any case, it is an enjoyable read. Oct 18, Nikki rated it liked it Shelves: I enjoyed the characters in this, liked how honest and open they were with each other.
When there was an issue, they were quick to discuss the problem and fix it between them. They were overall very sweet with each other and showed a lot of integrity with themselves and others. Honest communication can be super satisfying, but it can also have a downside, as it requires an external conflict that is big enough to counteract all the adorable togetherness. As for the relationship itself, I wanted mo I enjoyed the characters in this, liked how honest and open they were with each other.
I have no problem with sex in my romances, but the focus of their relationship became about that instead of their emotional development. I wanted more of them talking into the night and learning everything about each other, more that would help me see why they were crazy for each other outside of the bedroom. Overall, I very much enjoyed the humor the characters shared as well as the supporting relationships.
I just wanted a bit more to balance it out with the conflict and emotional connection. I really am excited for the second in the series, as I feel this author has a lot of potential and I want to see what direction it goes. As this was an audiobook, I must mention the narrator herself did a very good job and I would listen to more from her in the future. Apr 26, Penny rated it really liked it.
As others reviewers said, there's not much drama. Two women meet, date, fall in love, life throws in a few obstacles, they don't fret too much over them, happy ending. Too much sex scenes, though. I skipped them most. Jun 08, Willow rated it it was amazing Shelves: I enjoyed a lot this novel. The characters are well constructed and the dynamic they have is perfect. Sweet romance story without angst, which i have to say sometimes suits the novel better.
I'll read the second part for sure. May 03, Anja rated it it was amazing. I love love love this book, finally a good old romance with two enjoyable and hot characters and an unbelievably awesome energy and chemistry between them. Thumbs up for this one. Hot inside and out. Nice debut novel I got this to read because I received the second story in the series from NetGalley and even though I'm sure I could read it as a standalone, I prefer to read books in order.
This is a nice, sweet romance. There not too much drama, and what there is is handled fairly well, without tedious repetition or overblown dramatics. I liked both characters, but even though they spent a lot of time together, I felt like my knowledge of them and their motivations was somewhat superficial. We' Nice debut novel I got this to read because I received the second story in the series from NetGalley and even though I'm sure I could read it as a standalone, I prefer to read books in order.
We're told things about Luce's past, but Samantha's backstory and family are more or less glossed over, even with her mother visiting, and the way Sam reveals her relationship with Luce to her mother seemed like a throw-away, when it could have added depth to the story if handled while her mother was there. Even so, the interactions between the characters are pretty charming, and for those who love sex scenes, there more than enough in here to keep you occupied I actually though there were too many, but YMMV.
I was pleased by the fact that there were multiple points where I thought the author would go the tried and true route but she deviated, which I appreciated. As the start of a series I found it interesting enough, and the hook of the dating agency lends itself to further books. It's a nice solid debut novel, and I look forward to reading more in the series. Samantha Monteiro Co-owns a Match Making company with her best friend. When she meets Lucinda Moss, a Executive by day and Dance Teacher by night, sparks fly but Lucinda is used to keeping any romantic connections at a distance… but something about Samantha makes Lucinda want to forget her rules… I was shocked to find out this was Fiona Ril Samantha Monteiro Co-owns a Match Making company with her best friend.
It was written extremely well and I loved the storyline. The sex scenes where fantastic and ticked all my boxes. I actually prefer to watch a relationship unfold after they find love in romance novels as you are able to know that the happily ever after is forever. Check out the full review on my website: Oct 18, Just a man's point of view rated it liked it Shelves: Miss Match is certainly a pleasant reading.
The two main characters are rich and beautiful, one blond, athletic, dancer-postured and blue eyes, the other is latin-american, dark skinned, dark eyed and sexy like hell. In conclusion, this book is a paradise of femme lesbians and of glamour. A lot of sex blends everything for a success recipe. Maybe a bit too much sex, I dare to say. I would have preferred less sex and more story. The at Miss Match is certainly a pleasant reading. The atmospehere is kept light and the book is an easier breath from other, more complicated readings.
One of the two main characters, Lucinda, is portrayed with a hard past and a certain depth of emotions. I did have some problems with the other main characer, Samantha, and with the storyline. The idea for the obstacle conducing to the split is that a Match Maker herself can never fail in a relationship or her business is forever ruined by bad publicity. A match maker without any negative experience could well be a bad, superficial, unexperienced match maker.
Worse still, using such banal motive for Samantha to pull back from the relationship, makes her a little mean, expecially after she has said I love you to Lucinda something like half a million times. She seemed quite genuinely regretful, so I forgive her, but a different motive would have been highly preferable. This is a decent, straight forward romance and I'd rate it in the high 3 stars.
The drama and angst are minimal and, thankfully, there's no insta-love. Samantha and Lucinda come together at a believable pace and express deeper feelings later on after their relationship has developed. The two leads have a natural chemistry and their interactions are enjoyable. There's a certain level of fantasy element hit because both Samantha and Lucinda especially Lucinda are nearly perfect in looks, ability, This is a decent, straight forward romance and I'd rate it in the high 3 stars. There's a certain level of fantasy element hit because both Samantha and Lucinda especially Lucinda are nearly perfect in looks, ability, and personality.
There is some diversity in that Samantha is Hispanic and bisexual so that was good to see. My favorite scenes actually involved Samantha and her mother because they contained both humor and drama. The one thing that highly amused me throughout the book was how often people wink at each other! I think Lucinda winks about 7 times in the first scene with Samantha and it's something everyone does in the book for a total of I think I've been winked at maybe a dozen times in my entire life and the majority of those happened before I was ten years old.
Anyway, it stood out to me. If you're in the mood for a well-written simple romance "Miss Match" is a good fit. Jun 28, C. Mack rated it really liked it. I have just finished this as an audio book and I can honestly say I had forget what a sexy read this is Despite this still enjoyable, but the story did feel different read out, with some parts making me roll my eyes. Definitely finished stronger than it started.
